Founex belongs to that crescent of the Vaud canton known as Terre-Sainte: a ribbon of vineyards, villages and estates suspended between the shores of Lake Geneva and the foot of the Jura, fifteen minutes from Geneva.

People come here for the light, that lakeside clarity which softens winter mornings as much as summer evenings; and for a relationship with silence that has become rare.

The international schools of La Châtaigneraie, in Founex itself, then those of Geneva and Nyon, the A1 motorway, Coppet railway station and Geneva airport are all within immediate reach; yet the village keeps its scale, its gentleness, its orientation toward the lake.

Four semi-detached volumes, set into the gentle slope of the land, oriented to capture the lake without ever casting shade on one another. Hugo Duarte's approach can be summed up in a few words: carve from the mineral matter what must be earned, and leave to the landscape what belongs to it.

Pared-back volumes, flat roofs, large picture windows aligned with the horizon. Stone, board-marked concrete, warm timber inside. The footprint is measured; the private gardens remain generous.

On the technical commitments: reversible air-water heat pump with underfloor cooling, photovoltaic panels integrated into the roof, contemporary construction standard, and a building permit already in force. A home that consumes little and lasts a long time.

Cool in summer, frugal in winter. Summers have changed. Here the heat pump does more than heat: it also cools, through the floor, with no fan and no blown air. In winter, the same system heats a rigorously insulated envelope, powered in part by the solar production on the roof. A home that feels right in August as much as in January.

Four twin villas,
four characters.

One shared architectural envelope (243 m² usable), yet a layout that adapts to your needs: from 5.5 to 7.5 rooms, from the most open to the most partitioned. Each villa has its own name, orientation, plot and light. Bora Bora offers the most generous plot and the pool as standard; on Moorea, Taha'a and Huahine, the pool is available as an option.

Kitchens and bathrooms are customizable: the layout, taps and tiling are chosen with the buyer, within the budget set out in the construction specification. The moods shown above are examples of possible layouts.

A home you live in twelve months a year. In winter, a rigorously insulated envelope and fully electric heating, with no gas or oil. In summer, underfloor cooling takes over.

THPE standard (Very High Energy Performance) · CECB® projected class B-B-A: this is what makes it possible. Each villa combines a rigorously insulated envelope, integrated solar production and fully electric heating. B-B-A is the best rating attainable at the project stage, on the official scale of the Cantonal Building Energy Certificate (CECB), which will be validated on delivery. A frugal, self-sufficient home, aligned with the Vaud energy transition.

Solar panels integrated into the architecture. Each villa produces a share of the electricity it consumes, powering the heat pump and domestic hot water as a priority.

Heating, domestic hot water and underfloor cooling, with no gas or oil, powered in part by the solar production on the roof. Quiet, durable, aligned with the Vaud energy transition.
High-quality envelope

Carefully applied perimeter insulation, triple-glazed joinery, dual-flow ventilation. An envelope that keeps out the winter cold, holds the cool in summer and reduces consumption day after day.
Pre-wired for electric mobility

Each garage is delivered with the electrical supply needed for the immediate installation of a charging station. No additional work on the day the wish or need arises.
